08:00 Registration table open adjacent to Hawks Nest Surf Club, Booner St. 09:00 Briefing by Ride Leaders in designated areas. Rides depart immediately after briefing. 11:00 BBQ at Surf Club gets underway
STARTING POINT Both rides will commence near Surf Club in Booner Street, Hawks Nest.
FAMILY RIDE: ”OCEAN TO OCEAN” Comprises two options Full trip covers about 10 km with a shorter circuit of about 6 km. Riders will be accompanied by a Ride Leader and sidekick together with a support vehicle. Various stops at points of local interest will be made and a local historian, in period dress, will recreate the scenes of yesteryear, Both options will return to the starting point at the beach, where a BBQ will be operating to satisfy the hungriest appetites.
ENTHUSIASTS RIDE: ”OCEAN TO LAKES” More advanced riders will head north along Mungo Brush Road, passing into the Myall Lakes National Park after about 3 km. With its coastal heaths and stands of native trees. Riders will also be accompanied by a Ride Leader and sidekick together with support services. The ride will finish 25 km away at the Myall Shores Eco Camp where a BBQ will also satisfy those hunger pangs. Transport available for those who do not wish to cycle back to starting point.
